Sardinia Grand Slam – Day 4

The Sardinia Grand Slam speaks once again French! For the second year in a row, Nico Parlier won the Italian stage of the KiteFoil World Series!

In the only regatta of the fourth day of competitions to Parlier a second place was enough to distance the rival Maxime Nocher (third) by one point.

If last year the success at Cagliari’s Poetto he had also earned the world title, this year it has not gone the same way. The World Champion 2018 of Kite Foil is indeed just Maxime Nocher. The Monegasque could boast the full score in the ranking obtained thanks to the successes in the two Chinese stages of the competition (Weifang and Pingtan). Parlier paid a high price for his absence at the Pingtan race, which effectively excluded him from the fight for the world title.

Similar speech in the female category. The American Daniela Moroz has literally dominated the Cagliari race but the absence in Pingtan has effectively excluded her from the race for the world title. Behind her on the podium of the Sardinia Grand Slam the British Steph Bridge, followed by the Polish Nina Arcisz.

Kirstyn Obrien, World Champion 2018, is the author of a not particularly brilliant performance at Poetto but repaid by her constancy and by what she did during the first two stages of the KiteFoil World Series.

The Sardinia Grand Slam is organized by Good Looking Entertainment with the collaboration of the Yacht Club Cagliari, which deals with technical sports coordination, under the auspices of the IKA (International Kiteboarding Association), and with the contribution of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia with the Department of Tourism and the City of Cagliari with the Department of Sports.
